Apple, second version; graphite, 7 x 5 inches, 2003. This was my first botanical illustration assignment. On the first day of class, we had 20 minutes to draw an apple. Six weeks later, we drew an apple again in 20 minutes and then compared the two drawings during the critique. Rather than showing my first version, let's just say that I learned a lot in those six weeks!
