Final Portfolio

The assignment for my final semester drawing class was to complete 10 drawings, each 18 x 24 inches, on 22 x 30 inch Rives BFK paper. I opted to do mine in pen and ink, using dip pens. The first drawing is imaginary; the second drawing is direct observation. Inspired by Audrey Flack's methods for her paintings, I hit my stride when I projected slides I'd taken and pencilled in details from the photos. Then I inked, altering the drawing as needed for values, shade, shadow, etcetera. The last two drawings are photographed in their current frames.
