Brief: Design a visitor's center for Mount Falcon Park in Jefferson County open space
All sheets are graphite on vellum, 24" x 36"
My proposal is a rammed-earth structure that is built into the hillside (partially earth sheltered for energy-efficiency) and has a quincunx of pine trees on the north to serve as a windbreak. The 19 separate roofs are reminiscent of the geologic uplifts in the area (such as Red Rocks Amphitheater to the east)
